The Unitree G1 EDU is the education and research edition of Unitree’s humanoid G1 robot, purpose‑built for universities, research institutes, developers, and advanced robotics laboratories.
While the standard G1 focuses on demonstrations and predefined application scenarios, the G1 EDU is designed as an open humanoid development platform that enables deep experimentation, customization, and innovation.

At its core, the G1 EDU provides full access to robot control, sensor data, and software interfaces, allowing researchers and developers to work directly on AI models, locomotion algorithms, perception systems, and human–robot interaction. With its open architecture and extended SDK, the robot supports hands‑on learning as well as cutting‑edge academic and industrial research.
