The Optimus Gen 3 is Tesla's most advanced humanoid robot to date. Designed for industrial automation, logistics, and general work tasks, it is based on the FSD AI used in Tesla vehicles. The robot is approximately 173 cm tall, weighs 57 kg, has over 28 degrees of freedom, and utilizes Tesla's custom-designed electric actuators. The Gen-3 robot relies entirely on vision-based navigation (without LiDAR) and uses eight high-resolution cameras for 360° environmental perception. Its hands have 50 actuators, enabling the robot to precisely grasp even fragile objects. [ blog.robozaps.com ]
